Image compositing

When the ideal image isn't found on stock sites and there's limited time or budget for a photoshoot, the solution? Composite.

To promote a new workflow on the website, a lab image was essential. However, the web team faced constraints: tight timelines, limited budget, and highly specific image requirements that couldn't be met by stock photography alone.

In response, I orchestrated a creative solution. Combining elements from disparate sources, I integrated an empty lab scene with a laboratory technician from a different shoot, a stock image of a computer monitor, and even crafted custom product packaging and a sequencing instrument to seamlessly blend into the lab environment

Instrument composite

Within the larger composite mentioned earlier, lies the integration of the iSeq 100 Sequencing System. Since an image of this instrument fitting the lab's perspective was unavailable, I took the initiative to craft one from scratch.

Packaging composite

This composite features our product packaging seamlessly integrated into the overall composition described earlier. Given the absence of a suitable image option within this perspective, I took the initiative to craft one.

This endeavor not only addressed the immediate need but also paved the way for leveraging consistent imagery styles, thereby enriching Illumina's marketing efforts for the consumables.
