Stelo product packaging
Project Overview: As the lead designer, I spearheaded the strategic vision and development of the Stelo biosensor packaging, ensuring seamless integration with user experience standards and strict FDA compliance to drive organizational objectives.
Pre-Design Research: Before exploring into design complexities, I conducted in-depth research by visiting local pharmacies. This exploration aimed to grasp prevalent sales strategies and contemporary graphic design trends for over-the-counter Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs). Leveraging these insights, I crafted conceptual packaging artwork tailored to resonate profoundly with our target demographic, positioning Stelo as the preferred CGM choice.
Design Implementation: Following the creation of initial artwork, a series of iterative cycles ensued, incorporating valuable client feedback. Subsequently, we arrived at a draft ready for formative testing with authentic user groups. Active participation in multiple rounds of formative testing across diverse user demographics empowered me to refine the packaging artwork, ensuring instant appeal and comprehension on retail shelves.
Navigating Regulatory Landscape: In tandem with user feedback, I meticulously navigated FDA regulations, which posed a unique challenge. Balancing regulatory mandates, particularly regarding prominent messaging, with user preferences required innovative solutions. Despite the constraints, our approach resulted in packaging that not only stood out amidst competitors but also provided crucial information essential for target audience decision-making, thereby achieving our organizational objectives.
